I just finished reading The Guest List by Lucy Foley and can I just say, that was one of the best books I have just read. While the book starts off with mostly slow drama, the more you read, the more mysteries surface and the more questions rise up and the more tension is built. The latter half of the book is where things begin to be revealed more and more and there are multiple twists and turns. At first, I was skeptical of all of the different perspectives in each chapter and the time jumps, as they usually come out as a distractor rather than a tool for the author and the reader. Normally, I would get confused when reading books like this, but Foley does a fantastic job of being clear and using the technique as a tool to her advantage; not once was I confused by ...
